Living in California we are so spoiled with the beauty and diversity around us. Sometimes we forget what an amazing place this state is. Take a 3 day weekend and get on the road. Travel along highway 395 and you will be transported to another world. Visit the vastness of Death Valley, Yosemite and its polished granite walls and take a step back in time walking through Bodie State Park. Highway 395 is my absolutely favorite place to get lost and explore all of California's forgotten treasures.
Images come from all around but our fondness for this diverse state is the reason for creating the name Hwy 395 Photography. It is a celebration of all the great road trips and sights to see along our states highway 395.
My wife and I love to hit the roads and spend time visiting our nations National park's. We are so fortunate to be able to spend so much time together on the road photographing our great state and this beautiful and diverse country. We have two dogs named Bodie and Bishop and yup they are named after the town of Bishop and the once thriving mining town of Bodie.
As we all hit the roads and spend time trekking through our beautiful lands please remember that the responsibility of caring for our open spaces depends on ALL of us. Practice the "Leave no Trace" principals and visit NatureFirst.org for additional resources.
